How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    2x Electrical Maintenance Electricians – Central London

    £27.00 per hour
    50 hours per week
    6-month contract

    MEP Technical Talent is currently recruiting Electrical Maintenance Electricians for a six-month contract at a large, prestigious commercial facility in Central London.

    You will join an established on-site maintenance team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, electrical testing, reactive repairs and general electrical maintenance across a large and technically varied estate.

    This is a strong opportunity for an experienced maintenance electrician seeking consistent hours and a long-term contract with a well-established client.

    Duties will include:

    *

    Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the site

    *

    Responding to reactive electrical maintenance calls

    *

    Diagnosing faults and completing electrical repairs

    *

    Replacing and repairing internal and external light fittings

    *

    Emergency-light testing and associated remedial work

    *

    Distribution board inspections

    *

    Generator testing

    *

    Electrical installation and rectification work

    *

    Maintenance and overhaul of electrical plant and equipment

    *

    Recording completed work through a CAFM system

    *

    Reporting equipment defects, deterioration and asset changes

    *

    Liaising with supervisors, site personnel and external contractors

    *

    Supporting energy-saving and sustainability initiatives

    *

    Ensuring work complies with current electrical regulations, health and safety legislation and site procedures

    *

    Assisting with water-system flushing as part of the site’s planned maintenance programme

    Applicants should have:

    *

    A recognised Level 3 electrical qualification

    *

    18th Edition Wiring Regulations

    *

    ECS or JIB card

    *

    Previous experience within commercial facilities maintenance

    *

    Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance

    *

    Good electrical fault-finding skills

    *

    The ability to work effectively as part of an established maintenance team

    *

    A professional and customer-focused approach

    *

    Inspection and testing qualifications would be advantageous

    Contract details:

    *

    £27.00 per hour

    *

    50 hours per week

    *

    Six months of work

    *

    Central London location

    *

    Immediate or prompt start available
