How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HR Assistant (Part Time)

    17.5 hours per week, Ideally, the hours will be spread across 4 to 5 shorter working days to provide regular HR support throughout the week.

    Location: Bromley

    JRRL are partnering with a growing law firm in Bromley to recruit an HR Assistant on a part-time basis to support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, training administration, absence tracking, policy administration and general HR queries.

    The role is suitable for someone who is developing their HR career and is studying or planning to study towards a CIPD qualification and HR experience.

    Key Responsibilities for the HR Assistant

    Provide day to day administrative support to the HR Business Partner and wider management team.
    Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files and HR trackers, ensuring information is kept up to date and handled confidentially.
    Support recruitment administration, including preparing job adverts, arranging interviews, issuing candidate correspondence and maintaining recruitment records.
    Assist with onboarding and induction arrangements and ensuring relevant checks and documents are completed.
    Support probation review administration, including daily reminders, paperwork preparation and follow up actions.
    Person Specification for the HR Assistant

    The role is intended to support practical HR learning alongside CIPD study.

    Studying, or willing to study, towards a CIPD qualification.
    Previous administrative experience, ideally within HR and professional services.
    Strong attention to detail and the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence.
    Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
    An understanding of the importance of confidentiality, data protection and professional conduct.
    Confident in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
    This role is a part time, permanent position. The salary range reflects the candidate's level of experience. The lower end of the band is suited for individuals who may require additional training to meet the role's requirements, while the higher end is for candidates who possess the exact skills and experience outlined above
