How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am - 5:30pm)

    Job Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Scheduling Coordinator to join a busy and growing operations team based in Altrincham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in scheduling, coordination, dispatch or logistics, ideally within a technical, engineering or field-service environment.

You will play a key role in coordinating a team of engineers, ensuring visits are scheduled efficiently, customers are kept informed and engineers have everything they need to complete their work successfully.

The role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organised and enjoys problem-solving when priorities change throughout the day.

    Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate engineer schedules for installations, service visits, repairs and urgent callouts.

Manage daily, weekly and monthly schedules, balancing workloads and engineer availability.

Monitor live schedules and respond quickly to cancellations, delays, changing customer requirements and urgent requests.

Maintain accurate job and scheduling information within Salesforce and internal systems.

Coordinate with engineers to ensure they have the correct job information, site instructions, documentation and customer requirements.

Track engineer movements and job progress, proactively identifying and escalating potential delays.

Liaise with internal teams including Projects, Operations, Service Desk, Account Management and Finance.

Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding scheduled visits and provide updates where arrangements change.

Prepare and manage permits and RAMS documentation, ensuring information is accurate and compliant.

Arrange accommodation and travel requirements for engineers where necessary.

Review monthly timesheet information and investigate any discrepancies.

Process fixed penalty fees where required.

Maintain scheduling records, databases and reports.

Support the wider team with identifying opportunities to improve scheduling and field-service processes.

    About You

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a scheduling, coordination, dispatch or logistics role, ideally where you have been responsible for managing multiple engineers, technicians, contractors or field-based employees.

    You will ideally have:

Proven experience working within a scheduling or coordination environment.

    Hands-on experience using Salesforce

    Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.

The ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

Experience working with scheduling, tracking or operational systems.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.

    Desirable Experience

Experience within a technical, engineering, installation, field service or project environment would be advantageous. Knowledge of permits, RAMS, compliance documentation or engineer site requirements would also be beneficial, although full training can be provided to the right candidate.
