How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Programme: Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate, LDSS funded
Location: Hybrid, home-based with learner visits across the West Midlands
    Pay: £365 per allocated learner
Typical caseload: Approximately 30 to 40 learners
    Contract: Freelance / associate opportunity
Programme duration: Approximately four months per learner

Pathway Group is seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Tutor and Assessor to deliver the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate through LDSS funding.

This is a hybrid opportunity combining home-based teaching, assessment and learner management with planned face-to-face visits. Each learner will normally require approximately two in-person visits during their four-month programme, alongside regular remote teaching, assessment and progress support.

The programme operates on a roll-on, roll-off basis. New learners will be allocated throughout delivery, meaning the successful tutor must be confident managing a live and developing caseload.

    Key responsibilities:

    *

Manage a typical caseload of approximately 30 to 40 learners

    *

Deliver the Level 2 Adult Social Care curriculum

    *

Complete learner inductions and initial planning

    *

Deliver regular remote teaching, coaching and assessment

    *

Visit each learner approximately twice during their four-month programme

    *

Assess written work, professional discussions and workplace evidence

    *

Provide clear feedback and timely action plans

    *

Maintain regular contact with learners and their employers

    *

Track learner progress and intervene where learners fall behind

    *

Maintain complete, accurate and audit-ready learner records

    *

Ensure work is submitted, assessed and completed within agreed timescales

    *

Participate in standardisation and internal quality-assurance activities

    *

Work towards clear KPIs covering learner progress, retention and timely completion

    Essential requirements:

    *

Relevant Adult Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above

    *

    Recognised teaching or training qualification

    *

    Recognised assessor qualification

    *

Current or recent experience within adult social care

    *

Experience teaching or assessing vocational qualifications

    *

Experience managing a substantial learner caseload

    *

Strong understanding of assessment evidence and quality requirements

    *

Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines

    *

Strong digital skills and confidence working through online learning platforms

    *

Ability to travel across the West Midlands for learner visits

    Desirable requirements:

    *

Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in Adult Care or Leadership for Health and Social Care

    *

    Internal quality-assurance qualification

    *

Experience delivering the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate

    *

Knowledge of LDSS or other publicly funded adult-skills provision

    *

Experience supporting learners employed by care homes or domiciliary-care providers

    Payment:

The delivery rate is £365 per learner. A typical starting caseload will consist of approximately 30 to 40 learners, with further learners allocated through the programme’s roll-on, roll-off model. Allocation and payment will be managed in accordance with the agreed associate delivery terms.

This role is strongly performance-led. Tutors will be expected to maintain learner engagement, keep evidence up to date and achieve agreed completion targets. We need someone who does not simply enrol learners and hope for the best. You must actively manage every learner through to successful achievement.

Appointments will be subject to satisfactory qualification, employment and safeguarding checks. Pathway Group is committed to equality, diversity and creating an inclusive learning environment
