The trainee CNC machinist will work alongside experienced machinists and engineers to gain hands-on experience in CNC milling and turning. You will learn to set, operate and program the machines. You will also develop skills in inspection.
Role Responsibilities
* Operate and assist with setting CNC turning and milling machines
* Load and make basic adjustments to CNC programmes
* Read engineering drawings and work to specified tolerances
* Use verniers, micrometers and other precision measuring equipment
* Develop knowledge of tooling, cutting speeds, feeds and machining processes
What we are looking for
* Keen to learn and develop CNC machining skills
* Practical, reliable and methodical
* Comfortable reading basic engineering drawings
* A good team player with a positive attitude
The trainee CNC machinist will receive training and development (inhouse and external) whilst being mentored. You will work closely in a team who are there to support you and assist in your development.

Salary description
£26000.00 - £30000.00 per year
