Tig Welder

Fortis Recruitment are working with an exciting engineering company based in the Biggin Hill area to recruit a TIG Welder to join their team. You will be welding and assembling precision components to a high standard according to customer specs. The company work in highly regulated sectors so the successful TIG welder will need to pass a baseline security check.

The position is Monday – Thursday covering 37.5 hours and starts at 0700 each day.

Role Responsibilities

* TIG weld stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel and other exotic materials

* Carry out precision welding using lathes, turntables and semiautomated equipment

* Work from engineering drawings, weld specifications and assembly procedures

* Weld material thicknesses typically ranging from 0.5mm to 10mm

* Support weld procedure development and thirdparty welding approvals

What we are looking for

* Proven TIG welding experience

* Excellent hand and eye coordination and attention to detail

* The ability to work accurately to procedures, drawings and specs

* A reliable, professional and teamfocused approach

Ideally the TIG welder will have experience with exotic materials and laser welding.
