How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Milling Setter Operator

    £39,250 + Internal Training + Progression To Shift Lead + Overtime (1.5x) + 25 Days Holiday

    Bristol (Commutable from: Bath, Keynsham, Kingswood, Warmley, Longwell Green, Yate, Chippenham)

    Are you a CNC Milling Setter Operator looking for structured development and a genuine route into a Shift Lead / Cell Lead position? Do you enjoy setting, operating and online programming in a precision machining environment with overtime available?

    This is a permanent role with a well-established precision manufacturer, offering internal training and clear long-term development for someone who wants more responsibility over time, not just another shop-floor job.

    You'll be joining a business that manufactures complex machined and assembled components, where quality and accuracy matter and strong performers are supported with further development as the company grows with new contracts.

    In this role you'll set, operate and maintain CNC milling machines, carrying out online programming to produce high-quality parts to strict specifications.

    This role suits a CNC Milling Setter Operator who is motivated by progression and stepping up into a lead position, alongside developing technically through internal training and continuous improvement.

    The Role:

    Setting, operating, online programming and basic maintenance of CNC milling machines
    Producing complex machined components in a precision manufacturing environment in Bristol
    Double days shift pattern (6am-2pm Mon-Thu / 6am-11am Fri and 2pm-10pm Mon-Thu / 11am-4pm Fri) with overtime at 1.5x

    The Person:

    CNC Milling experience (setting and operating)
    Comfortable with online programming
