How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Turning Setter Operator

    £38,480 + Premium Overtime + Double Days Shift + Internal Training + Progression

    Bristol (Commutable from: Bath, Keynsham, Kingswood, Yate, Emersons Green, Chippenham, Weston-super-Mare)

    Are you a CNC Turning Setter Operator looking for a role that offers Internal Training and clear progression? Are you confident setting, operating and online programming CNC turning machines on a double days shift?

    This is a permanent position with a well-established precision manufacturing business, offering stability, overtime at 1.5x and genuine development support as you step up in responsibility.

    You'll be joining a specialist build-to-print manufacturer producing complex machined, treated and assembled components, with a fast-paced environment supporting spares and AOG requirements where reliability and quality matter.

    In this role you'll be workshop-based in Bristol, setting, operating and online programming CNC turning machines to produce complex components to specification.

    This role suits a CNC Turning Setter Operator motivated by progression into a shift lead / cell lead position, with the backing of good internal training and further development support.

    The Role:

    Setting, operating and online programming CNC turning machines (workshop-based in Bristol)
    Producing complex machined components within a build-to-print manufacturing environment
    Double days shift pattern (37 hours): 6am-2pm Mon-Thu / 6am-11am Fri OR 2pm-10pm Mon-Thu / 11am-4pm Fri (+ overtime at 1.5x)

    Confident setting, operating and online programming
