How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Your new company This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognised organisation with an important public interest remit. The legal team works on complex, high-profile investigations, holding professionals and organisations to account.
    Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will be involved in challenging and intellectually stimulating cases, often working alongside forensic specialists, external counsel and other regulatory bodies.

    Your new role
    As a Regulatory Lawyer, you will play a key role in managing complex investigations and enforcement cases from inception through to conclusion.
    You will:

    Manage your own portfolio of investigations and disciplinary matters.
    Work as part of multidisciplinary teams on large-scale and high-profile cases.
    Advise on legal, procedural and strategic issues throughout investigations.
    Analyse complex evidence and prepare cases for hearings and tribunals.
    Instruct and work closely with external counsel, solicitors and expert witnesses.
    Support the development of case strategy and drive matters forward to conclusion.
    Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and legal support staff.
    Manage case budgets and contribute to the efficient delivery of investigations.
    What you'll need to succeed

    Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with significant post-qualification experience.
    Strong litigation, investigations, disputes or contentious regulatory experience.
    Excellent analytical, drafting and advocacy skills.
    Experience handling complex matters involving large volumes of evidence.
    Strong project management and stakeholder management abilities.
    The confidence to make robust, evidence-based decisions.
    A collaborative approach and genuine interest in high-profile public interest work.
