I am partnering a fantastic services business based in Blackburn as they look to recruit for a Part-time Payroll Specialist (2-3 days per week) on an initial three month temporary basis.
The role is to support the successful transition of payroll operations from an in-house model to an outsourced payroll provider.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Support the end-to-end transition of payroll services from the in-house team to the outsourced payroll provider
Provide coverage to the in-house payroll process during the transition period
Coordinate transition activities, timelines, milestones, and testing plans
Work closely with People Team, Finance, IT, and the external provider to ensure successful implementation
Identify, track, and mitigate risks associated with the transition
Ensure payroll processing continues accurately and on schedule pre, during and post-transition
Ad hoc duties, working closely with the Payroll Manager
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong payroll operational knowledge, including payroll controls, compliance, and processes
Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with third-party payroll providers
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills

£35000.00 - £43000.00 per year
