Key Responsibilities
* Undertake groundwork repairs and maintenance across social housing estates, including paving, kerbs, drainage, and landscaping.
* Carry out excavations, reinstatements, and concreting to support property maintenance and improvement works.
* Diagnose and resolve issues such as subsidence, damaged pathways, and defective drainage.
* Install and repair fencing, boundary walls, and external hardstanding areas.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and social housing requirements.
* Work collaboratively with other trades and housing officers to complete multi-trade jobs.
* Provide excellent customer service to tenants, maintaining professionalism and respect in occupied environments.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent.
* Respond to emergency call-outs when required.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience working as a groundworker within social housing environments — this is a mandatory requirement.
* Strong knowledge of groundwork techniques including paving, concreting, drainage, and reinstatement.
* Ability to operate plant and machinery safely (e.g., mini diggers, rollers).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification in Groundworks or Construction.
* Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
