How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Quality Engineer
    Salary / Rate: To be discussed on application
    Location: Daventry
    Contract: 6-month FTC

    Role Summary

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to support the final quality process for luxury road vehicles. Working within a modern automotive environment, you will take responsibility for vehicle quality through final inspection and dynamic assessment activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

    The Quality Engineer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to investigate concerns, identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.

    Role & Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer

    Take responsibility for each vehicle throughout the Final Quality Process, including Dynamic Assessment.
    Experience within fault-finding management
    Plan Dynamic Assessment activities at an automotive proving ground
    Investigate and resolve issues identified during off-site Dynamic Assessment activities.
     Identify root causes and instigate permanent corrective actions.
    Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly and efficiently.
    Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained throughout vehicle assessment activities.
     Monitor and report against quality-related key performance indicators.
    Promote continuous improvement techniques including Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing) and Measurement System Analysis.
    Demonstrate a collaborative approach to continuous improvement within the department.
    Requirements of a Quality Engineer

    Previous experience relevant to a Quality Engineer position within an automotive environment, ideally within low volume manufacturing
    Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
    Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies including Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke and Measurement System Analysis.
    Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    Ability to lead and support technical teams during fault resolution
     Proactive and collaborative approach to quality and continuous improvement.
