How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

PPA Cover Teacher – Primary School

    Location: Bromley, South East London
    Salary: £160–£200 per day
    Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
    Start Date: 8 September 2026

Are you a confident primary teacher who enjoys variety?

Transparency Education is recruiting a PPA Cover Teacher for a full-time opportunity in Bromley from September.

Rather than taking responsibility for one class throughout the week, you will deliver planned lessons across different classes while permanent teachers undertake PPA and other release time.

It is an excellent role for an adaptable teacher with strong classroom presence.

    Responsibilities

    You will:

Deliver pre-planned lessons across primary year groups.

Quickly establish expectations in different classrooms.

Maintain continuity of learning during teacher release time.

Adapt teaching according to individual class needs.

    Manage behaviour calmly and consistently.

    Provide feedback to class teachers.

    Mark work where required.

Develop positive relationships with pupils throughout the school.

    Requirements

    Applicants should have:

    UK QTS.

    Recent primary classroom experience.

    Strong behaviour management.

Confidence moving between different classes and age groups.

Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.

    Excellent adaptability and organisation.

    A professional and reliable approach.

Previous PPA, supply or cross-school teaching experience would be particularly valuable.

Daily pay of £160–£200 is dependent on experience and qualifications.

For teachers who enjoy teaching without necessarily wanting the responsibilities of a permanent class, this could be an excellent fit.
