How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An opportunity exists for a Quantity Surveyor for a tier-one infrastructure contractor delivering critical asset replacement and major infrastructure schemes at London Heathrow Airport.

This role offers a long-term contract pipeline, embedded within a fast-paced, live aviation environment involving complex structural demolition, major civils, and specialized logistics.

    Duties would include -

Taking full ownership of the day-to-day administration of NEC4 Option C (Target Cost) contracts, ensuring strict compliance with all contractual timescales and clauses.

Oversee end-to-end procurement, commercial management, and monthly valuations for high-value, specialized sub-contract packages.

Drafting, submitting, and negotiating Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Compensation Events (CEs).

Preparing detailed Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and cost-to-complete forecasting.

Interrogate subcontractor applications and costs, to minimize risks

Maintain the NEC Risk Register, monitoring labour productivity, supply chain compliance, and operational "dead time" unique to high-security aviation environments.

Required for this post include -

BSc Quantity Surveyor or similar. MRICS advantageous.

Expert working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 forms of contract

Proven track record as a QS within heavy civil engineering, major infrastructure, or complex demolition projects for a tier on UK civils contractor.

Prior aviation or airport framework experience is highly advantageous but not mandatory.

Successfully managed sub-contractor accounts and navigating complex variations.

The ability to secure a Heathrow Airside pass (requiring a clean 5-year checkable work/education history and a valid CRC).
