How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Minibus Driver

    Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire

Contract: Term time, approximately 36 weeks

Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm to 7:30pm

Licence Required: Category D1 entitlement or appropriate PCV licence

Experience Required: Proven safe and confident driving experience

    Start Date: September 2026

A Driving Role With Real Responsibility

Claires Court is looking for an experienced Minibus Driver to join its driving team in Maidenhead.

Working as part of the Estates Team, you will be responsible for transporting pupils safely between school, home and school activities, while providing a calm, professional and friendly service.

This is a term time position, approximately 36 weeks per year, working Monday to Friday from 1:00pm to 7:30pm.

    What You’ll Be Doing

This is more than simply getting from A to B. You will play an important role in making sure pupils travel safely and that the School’s transport service runs smoothly.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Driving school minibuses safely along allocated routes
Transporting pupils to and from school and school activities
Familiarising yourself with routes, traffic patterns and any local diversions
Completing passenger registers and daily transport records
Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
Checking fuel, oil, water, screenwash and tyres
Keeping minibuses clean, tidy and presentable
    Reporting vehicle faults promptly
Ensuring seat belts are worn and safety procedures are followed
Maintaining a calm and orderly environment on board
Reporting any significant pupil behaviour or safety concerns
Working closely with the Estates Team and wider school staff
The role requires a professional, proactive and safety conscious approach at all times.

    About You

We’re looking for someone dependable, calm and confident behind the wheel, with the professionalism needed when transporting children and young people.

To be considered, you will need:

A valid, clean UK driving licence with Category D1 entitlement, or an appropriate PCV licence
Proven safe and confident driving experience
Good knowledge of the UK Highway Code
The ability to carry out basic vehicle checks
    Excellent punctuality and reliability
A polite, patient and helpful manner
Confidence interacting with pupils of different ages
    A flexible, team focused approach
A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
Experience driving larger or passenger carrying vehicles would be particularly relevant, and good knowledge of local roads would be useful.

    Why Join Claires Court?

You will be joining a supportive school environment where safety, professionalism and teamwork genuinely matter.

    Claires Court offers:

A positive and supportive working environment
    Term time working
    Regular professional development and training
    A structured school transport operation
A role where reliability and good judgement are genuinely valued
The School also provides and expects ongoing training including safeguarding, first aid, defensive driving and manual handling where required.

Please note, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role and applications from recruitment agencies will not be considered.

    Application Process

Please apply initially by submitting your CV.

If your experience and licence appear suitable, a member of the recruitment team will call you to discuss the role in more detail.

You will then be sent the Claires Court application form directly, together with clear instructions explaining how to complete it and where the completed form should be sent.

Please note that completion of the School's application form is a required part of the recruitment process. A CV cannot be accepted instead of the completed application form, although it may be submitted as additional supporting information.

Applications must be received by 8.00am on 10 September 2026.

Early applications are encouraged as applications will be considered as they are received and Claires Court reserves the right to interview and appoint before the closing date.

Claires Court is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate safeguarding checks, including checks with previous employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service
