How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Internal Sales Executive – Fitted Furniture

    London | Hybrid Working | Full-Time

    £30,000–£38,000 basic salary + commission | OTE £40,000–£50,000+

We are working with a London-based development and construction contractor with an established specialist fitted furniture division, delivering high-quality bespoke and fitted furniture solutions across both the commercial and domestic sectors.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Internal Sales Executive to join the team and play a key role in generating new opportunities, converting enquiries and increasing the division’s sales pipeline and workload.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in furniture, fitted furniture, kitchens, bedrooms, interiors, construction, home improvement or a similar sector who enjoys dealing with customers and has a strong sales mentality.

    The Role

Working as part of the fitted furniture division, you will be responsible for managing incoming enquiries, proactively generating new leads and converting opportunities into appointments for the design team.

You will be the first point of contact for many prospective customers, understanding their requirements, qualifying opportunities and ensuring that genuine sales prospects are progressed efficiently.

A key objective of the role will be to increase the number of qualified appointments and ultimately generate additional sales and workload for the fitted furniture division.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

Respond promptly and professionally to incoming enquiries generated through the company's various marketing channels and platforms.

    *

Proactively follow up enquiries by telephone, email and other communication channels.

    *

Generate new sales leads and identify opportunities within the domestic and commercial markets.

    *

Qualify potential customers, understand their requirements and establish project scope, budget and timescales.

    *

Book appointments for the company's furniture designers to visit clients and undertake site surveys and measurements.

    *

Ensure appointments are properly qualified and that designers have all relevant information before attending.

    *

Follow up designer appointments and quotations to help convert opportunities into confirmed orders.

    *

Maintain accurate records of leads, enquiries, appointments and sales activity within the company's CRM system.

    *

Work closely with designers, project managers and the wider sales team to ensure a smooth customer journey.

    About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially driven, confident speaking with customers and motivated by generating sales.

Ideally, you will have previous experience within furniture sales or a related interiors/home improvement environment, although candidates from other transferable sectors will also be considered.

You may currently be working in areas such as:

    Fitted furniture / fitted wardrobes

    Kitchens & bedrooms

    Furniture sales

    Interior design / interiors

    Home improvements

    Joinery

    Bathrooms or other specification-led products

Windows, doors or similar residential/commercial products

Most importantly, you will be confident on the phone, commercially minded and persistent without being pushy. You will enjoy turning an initial enquiry into a genuine sales opportunity.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    *

Previous experience in an internal sales, telesales, business development or customer-facing sales role.

    *

Experience selling furniture, interiors, construction products or another specification-led product is highly desirable.

    *

    Excellent telephone and communication skills.

    *

The ability to quickly understand customer requirements and identify genuine sales opportunities.

    *

Strong follow-up skills and a proactive approach to lead generation.

    *

Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.

    *

A confident, professional and personable manner.

    *

    Strong attention to detail.

    *

    Good IT and CRM skills.

    *

A genuine desire to achieve and exceed sales targets.

    *

The ability to work effectively as part of a small, growing team.

    What's on Offer

    *

£30,000–£38,000 basic salary, depending on experience.

    *

Commission / performance-related bonus with realistic OTE of £40,000–£50,000+.

    *

    Hybrid working following initial training.

    *

Opportunity to join a growing London-based business with an established construction and development operation.

    *

A key role within a specialist and expanding fitted furniture division.

    *

Genuine opportunity to progress as the division continues to grow.

    *

    Supportive and collaborative working environment.

    *

The opportunity to work across both commercial and high-end domestic projects
