How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Sales Manager – Large Format Printed Graphics

    East Midlands

    Open DOE Package

We’re working with an established independent print manufacturer in the East Midlands that is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager to support the next stage of its growth.

This is a well-invested business with a broad in-house manufacturing capability spanning large format, Litho & Digital Print and Finishing.

With continued investment in its production capabilities, the business is now looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager who can help maximise that capacity, identify new opportunities and drive profitable revenue growth.

    The Role

This is very much a hands-on Sales Manager position.

You’ll take responsibility for driving sales performance across the business, working closely with the Directors and wider team to develop existing accounts, identify new markets and create a healthy pipeline of new business.

    Responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing a clear sales strategy to deliver sustainable, profitable growth
Work to realistic sales targets through identifying and targeting new business opportunities across relevant markets
Personally developing and winning new accounts
Working closely with production and estimating to ensure commercially viable solutions
Supporting the team with larger opportunities, pitches and negotiations
Using the company's extensive in-house manufacturing capabilities to cross-sell
Providing accurate forecasting and reporting to the Directors
Keeping abreast of market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities

    About You

We’re looking for an experienced print sales professional who understands realities of selling manufactured print.

You’ll ideally have experience within one or more of the following: Digital Print - Large Format - POS / Display - Signage

    You should be:

An experienced Sales Manager, Senior BDM or senior print salesperson
Able to demonstrate a strong track record of winning and developing profitable business
Technically knowledgeable enough to have credible conversations around print, substrates, production and finishing
A natural relationship builder who is equally comfortable with existing clients and cold new-business development
Commercially astute with a good understanding of margins and profitable growth
Proactive, driven and comfortable working within an independent SME environment
Someone who leads from the front rather than simply managing from behind a desk

If you’re an experienced print sales professional who enjoys winning business and being close to the manufacturing side of the industry, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today or contact Taylor Higson for a confidential conversation.
