How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Product Development Manager – Healthcare

    LOCATION: Melton, East Yorkshire

    SALARY: £55,000 – £60,000 + Bonus & Benefits

We are recruiting a Product Development Manager, for Origin, an established UK manufacturer specialising in pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging. This Product Development Manager position will focus on developing and manufacturing innovative packaging solutions for customers across global markets.

As Product Development Manager, you’ll lead the R&D process for new product and packaging development projects from initial customer brief through design, development, trials, testing and validation to manufacturing readiness. Working closely with the Sales team, customers and manufacturing, the Product Development Manager will translate commercial requirements and product design briefs into technically robust, manufacturable products.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NPD Manager, Product Development Manager or packaging development professional within an R&D function who enjoys developing new products, solving technical challenges and working cross-functionally to take ideas from concept through to production.

    WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

    * Own new product development (NPD) projects from initial customer brief through to manufacturing readiness.

    * Work closely with Sales and customers to turn product requirements and concepts into commercially viable packaging solutions.

    * Develop new products for global pharmaceutical and healthcare applications.

    * Take ownership of the full NPD process, including design, development, trials, testing and validation.

    * Join an established UK manufacturer where product innovation and NPD play a key role in continued growth.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    * Translate customer and internal product design briefs into technical specifications, development plans and clear project requirements.

    * Work closely with Sales and customers to understand requirements and develop commercially viable new product and packaging solutions.

    * Lead NPD projects through design, development, sampling, trials, testing and validation through to manufacturing readiness.

    * Coordinate projects across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, procurement, suppliers and commercial teams.

    * Interpret technical and trial data, resolve development challenges and maintain specifications, test reports and supporting NPD documentation.

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    * Proven experience in new product development (NPD), product development or packaging development within a manufacturing environment.

    * Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, product specifications and testing methods.

    * Experience taking new products from initial concept and design brief through development, testing and validation into manufacture.

    * Strong communication and commercial awareness, with the ability to work effectively with Sales, customers and technical stakeholders.

    * A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of multiple product development projects and drive them forward.

    WHAT YOU’LL GET

    * Competitive salary and benefits package.

    * Opportunity to develop and progress your career within a high-growth organisation.

    * Fantastic offices located in East Yorkshire.

    * Scope to influence strategy and sit on the SLT.
