How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Software Engineer / .NET Core, Azure, AI - Permanent Employment
    £55,000-£65,000 + Bonus + Private Healthcare
    Manchester / Hybrid

    We're working with a growing digital product business that's investing heavily in its engineering capability, modernising its platform and embedding AI into the heart of how software is designed, built and delivered.

    This isn't about adding another chatbot. It's about giving engineers the freedom to experiment with AI-assisted development and agentic workflows that genuinely improves productivity and product outcomes.

    The opportunity

    You'll join a cross-functional product squad building customer-facing products used by millions of members in the loyalty and rewards space.

    While the core platform is built on modern Microsoft technologies, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute across the wider technology estate where required as the business continues its platform modernisation.

    What you'll be doing

    * Building scalable applications and APIs using C# and .NET.Core

    * Developing cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure

    * Embedding quality engineering principles that produce clean, maintainable and well-tested software

    * Working closely with Product, UX and QA in a collaborative product squad

    * Exploring AI-assisted development to improve engineering productivity

    * Helping implement agentic workflows that automate repetitive engineering processes

    * Continuously improving performance, scalability and developer experience

    What we're looking for

    * Commercial experience developing applications with the latest versions of C# and .NET.Core

    * Experience building REST APIs and backend services

    * Good knowledge of SQL Server and Azure

    * An appreciation of modern engineering practices including CI/CD and automated testing

    * Curiosity around AI, LLMs and the future of software development

    * Someone already using tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or someone genuinely excited to adopt them

    * Experience working in product-led engineering teams

    Desirable

    * React and TypeScript experience

    * Exposure to PHP or Laravel

    * Azure DevOps and Docker

    What you'll get

    * £55,000 - £65,000

    * Benefits inc. Bonus, Private Healthcare, Income Protection, Personal Development Budget

    * Hybrid working (3 days per week in Central Manchester)

    * Modern Microsoft technology stack

    * Significant investment in AI adoption across engineering

    * Direct access to technical leadership and genuine opportunities for progression

    If you're looking for more than another .NET role and want to help shape how AI transforms software engineering over the next few years, we'd love to hear from you
