How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrician

    Woking | £43,056 + Overtime + 34 Days Holiday + Company Vehicle & Fuel Card + Pension | Full-Time, 40 Hours Monday–Friday | Permanent

    Are you an experienced Electrician with strong testing, inspection and fault-finding skills and a background in property maintenance?

    A well-established property maintenance organisation is looking for a reliable and motivated Electrician to join its team in Woking. You will carry out a varied mix of domestic and commercial electrical repairs, testing, installations and maintenance work across the local area.

    This Electrician role would suit someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, works well independently and provides a professional service when dealing with residents and customers.

    Job Responsibilities

    Carry out electrical testing, inspections and certification.
    Diagnose faults and complete reactive electrical repairs.
    Undertake domestic rewires and general electrical installations.
    Complete electrical works associated with kitchens and bathrooms.
    Install and maintain domestic electrical heating systems.
    Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and make situations safe.
    Maintain accurate job records, including photographic evidence where required.
    Follow Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
     
    Skills & Knowledge Required

    Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
    Hold City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent – essential.
    Hold current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
    Have completed AM2.
    Demonstrate 2–5 years’ experience in social housing, property or building maintenance.
    Possess strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
    Hold a full UK driving licence.
    Live within approximately 20 miles of Woking.
    Experience working within schools, universities, museums or similar public buildings would also be beneficial.

    Applicants must be willing to complete a DBS check before employment
