How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business Development Manager – Butchery

    Territory - Oxfordshire & The Midlands

    Package: Up to £50,000 Base Salary + Company Car + Performance Bonus

    Passionate about premium meat and skilled in commercial sales? A well-established, family-run foodservice supplier with an outstanding industry reputation is seeking a Butchery Business Development Manager to expand their presence across the Oxfordshire & The Midlands

    This is a high-visibility, consultative role where your deep meat expertise and commercial drive will directly shape the company’s regional growth. Serving high-profile clients across hospitality, retail, healthcare, and education, you will act as a trusted specialist—bridging the gap between culinary teams and top-tier butchery products.

    Responsibilities

    * Drive Revenue: Expand the regional customer base by prospecting, pitching, and converting high-value sales leads into long-term trading accounts.

    * Account Development: Partner with existing clients to conduct menu reviews, enhance gross margins, and introduce complementary butchery product lines.

    * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside the wider Field Sales team and internal Butchery Division to deliver tailored product solutions and technical expertise.

    * Commercial Strategy: Monitor territory performance, analyse purchasing trends, and manage competitive pricing structures to maximise account profitability.

    * Consultative Selling: Deliver value on every client interaction through specialist advice on cuts, yield, menu planning, and preparation techniques.

    Candidate Profile

    * Technical Butchery Expertise: Strong background in the butchery or meat sector, with the credibility to lead detailed product conversations with Head Chefs and procurement heads.

    * Commercial Acumen: Proven track record in B2B field sales, account management, or new business development within foodservice or food manufacturing.

    * New Business Drive: Confident networker with a proactive approach to lead generation, territory planning, and closing sales.

    * Requirements: Full UK driving licence.

    Package & Benefits

    * Base salary up to £50,000 depending on experience

    * Lucrative performance-based bonus scheme

    * Company car

    * Comprehensive pension scheme and company discounts

    * Clear avenues for long-term career progression in a stable, values-led business
