Labourer

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, hard-working general labourer for a short-term contract on a busy new build housing site in Skelmanthorpe.

This position offers an immediate start for a dependable operative looking for local work. Working alongside the Site Manager and trade teams, you will play a key role in keeping site logistics moving, assisting trades, and ensuring active plots remain safe and clean.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting various sub-contractors and site trades with moving and distributing materials across active plots.
Sweeping out plots, clearing construction waste, and loading skips.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety procedures.
Assisting site management with unloading and managing incoming deliveries.
Carrying out general manual labour and physical duties as required across the development.

What We Are Looking For:

Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
Previous experience working as a labourer on a construction site (New build housing experience is preferred).
Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
Strong work ethic, excellent punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
Ability to follow health and safety instructions around live plots and site machinery.
Based in or easily commutable to Skelmanthorpe (Huddersfield/Wakefield area).
