We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established and growing refrigeration business, covering London and the surrounding areas.
This is a field-based position carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. The role would suit an experienced Refrigeration Engineer looking to develop their skills further within industrial refrigeration, with ongoing technical training and clear opportunities to increase their earnings as they progress.
The Role
As a Refrigeration Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on refrigeration systems
Servicing and maintaining commercial and industrial refrigeration plant
Diagnosing faults and completing necessary repairs
Carrying out refrigeration installations and commissioning
Fault finding across mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems
Identifying potential issues before they result in equipment failure
Ensuring refrigeration plant operates safely and efficiently
Completing all relevant service and maintenance documentation
Maintaining high Health & Safety standards while working on customer sites
Building strong relationships with customers and providing a professional service
Working alongside other engineers and sharing technical knowledge
Identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability and operating efficiency
Undertaking ongoing technical training and professional developmentWhat We're Looking For
You should have previous field-based experience working as a Refrigeration Engineer within the commercial and/or industrial refrigeration sector.
Ideally, you will have:
F-Gas Category 1 qualification, such as City & Guilds 2079-11 or recognised equivalent
Relevant refrigeration and air conditioning qualification, ideally NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent
Previous experience servicing and maintaining refrigeration systems
Commercial refrigeration experience as a minimum
Industrial refrigeration experience would be highly advantageous
Strong refrigeration fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good understanding of refrigeration principles and components
Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
Strong Health & Safety awareness
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently in a field-based position
