How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Health and Safety Manager

    Roofing, Cladding and Construction

    Location: Milton Keynes (with travel to sites nationwide)

    Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus + Company Vehicle + Benefits Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    The Opportunity

    A group of specialist construction companies operating from the same Milton Keynes office is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager. The businesses deliver roofing, cladding, facades and wider construction schemes across multiple sectors, offering genuine variety and exposure to different project types.

    This role suits a proactive health and safety professional who enjoys influencing best practice, shaping standards and working closely with senior leadership, site teams and clients. You’ll play a key part in strengthening safety performance and driving continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead health, safety and compliance strategy across roofing, cladding and construction operations

    • Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across multiple companies

    • Monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities

    • Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions

    • Develop and review policies, procedures and risk management systems • Provide guidance to managers, site teams and subcontractors

    • Deliver training, toolbox talks and safety awareness initiatives

    • Ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards and client requirements

    • Produce reports, analyse trends and present recommendations

    • Support the development of a positive, proactive safety culture

    About You – Essential

    • Experience as a Health and Safety Manager, SHEQ Manager, HSQE Manager or similar

    • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation

    • Experience conducting audits, inspections and investigations

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

    • Ability to influence teams at all levels

    • Strong organisational and reporting skills

    • Full UK driving licence

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office

    • Experience within roofing, cladding, facades or wider construction sectors
