How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Engineer (HV T&T)

    £70,000 - £80,000 + Company Bonus + Training + Progression + Hybrid Working + Flexible Hours

    Aberdeen

    Are you an Electrical Engineer with hands-on testing & terminating experience, looking to join an industry leading company with offices across the globe, where you will be seen as the HV technical expert on varied, complex onshore and offshore projects?

    In this role, you will head up HV cable testing and Fibre Optic T&T across a range of projects within the Energy sector, with travel to both offshore and onshore sites. You will carry out specialist HV testing, including VLF and Partial Discharge testing using relevant equipment, whilst supporting wider project delivery, including planning, documentation and coordination with clients and internal teams.

    Founded nearly 50 years ago, this internationally recognised company provides specialist engineering services across the global Energy sector. Operating throughout the UK and overseas, they are continuing to expand as they acquire further large-scale projects.

    This role would suit an Electrical Engineer, with hands-on HV T&T experience, looking to join a company at the forefront of the energy sector, looking to become the technical lead for HV work whilst developing their project skills with scope for progression up to a Project Manager.

    The Role:

    High-voltage testing and terminating on cables
    Assist with project duties including tendering, documenting, and communicating with internal and external teams
    5 hours a week, flexible start and finish, hybrid work
