We are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to join an education setting in Carlisle supporting learners aged 16-19.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting learners and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide classroom and 1:1 learning support to students.
* Support learners with additional learning needs and disabilities.
* Help students engage with lessons and complete learning activities.
* Provide encouragement and support to build confidence and independence.
* Work closely with teaching staff to meet individual learner needs.
* Support students with their personal development and progression.
* Assist with maintaining a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
* Enhanced Child and Adult DBS required.
* Previous experience supporting learners in a school, college or education setting.
* Experience working with SEND/additional learning needs is desirable.
* Patient, supportive and confident working with young people.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A genuine passion for helping learners succeed
Salary description
£14.00 - £16.00 per hour
