How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Infinity Energy Services is an established and growing renewable energy company specialising in the design and installation of Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Charging systems.

    As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our installation team.

    This is a great opportunity for a qualified electrician who wants to build a long-term career in the renewable energy sector, working with modern technology and high-quality installations.

    Previous renewable energy experience is preferred, but not essential. If you are a strong electrician with the right qualifications, high standards and a willingness to learn, we will provide training and support to help you develop your skills in solar PV, battery storage and EV charging.

    About the RoleYou will work as part of our experienced installation team, primarily installing and commissioning residential renewable energy systems.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems
    Installing and commissioning battery storage systems
    Installing EV charging points
    Carrying out electrical testing, inspection and certification
    System commissioning and customer handovers
    Electrical diagnostics and fault-finding
    Completing electrical certificates and installation documentation accurately
    Ensuring all work complies with BS 7671, current electrical regulations, industry standards and health & safety requirements
    Working alongside other members of the installation team to deliver high-quality completed installations
    Communicating professionally with customers and providing a high standard of customer service
    Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship, organisation and site safety

    Requirements

    Applicants must have:

    Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation
    City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
    18th Edition Wiring Regulations
    Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified electrician
    ECS Card
    Full UK driving licence
    Strong electrical testing and fault-finding skills
    Good problem-solving ability
    Excellent attention to detail
    High standards of workmanship
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Professional and confident manner when working in customers' homes
    Positive attitude and willingness to learnExperience installing Solar PV, Battery Storage or EV Charging systems is desirable, but it is not essential.
