How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for an experienced CSA Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in the commercial management and successful delivery of major construction projects.
    This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a growing and forward-thinking organisation.
    The Role
    As CSA Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
    Key responsibilities include:
    * Managing project costs, budgets and forecasts.
    * Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations and payment applications.
    * Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts.
    * Monitoring project financial performance and reporting on commercial progress.
    * Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
    * Reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
    * Supporting tendering, estimating and procurement activities.
    * Leading final accounts and commercial close-out.
    * Working collaboratively with the wider project and delivery teams.
    About You
    We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
    * Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working with a Tier One contractor on large scale, high value schemes.
    * Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
    * Experience managing subcontractors and supply chains.
    * Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    * Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
    * The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
    * Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
    * Experience with major construction projects would be advantageous.
