The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring project information is accurately controlled, maintained and distributed across multiple stakeholders, working closely with project, design, commercial and construction teams.
The Role
As Senior Document Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and control of project documentation, ensuring information is issued, recorded and stored correctly in line with company procedures and project requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the full lifecycle of project documentation from receipt through to distribution and archiving.

Maintaining accurate document registers, trackers and information logs.
*
Ensuring drawings, specifications, reports and other project information are correctly controlled.
*
Uploading, distributing and managing documentation through the relevant EDMS/CDE.
*
Monitoring document revisions and ensuring teams are working from the latest approved information.
*
Managing document transmittals and maintaining clear audit trails.
*
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Design Managers, Commercial teams and external consultants.
*
Supporting the wider project team with document control processes and best practice.
*
Producing regular document control reports and identifying any discrepancies or outstanding information.
*
Ensuring all documentation complies with internal procedures and project-specific requirements.
*
Assisting with the implementation and improvement of document control systems and processes.
*
Providing guidance and support to junior members of the document control team where required.
About You
We are looking for someone who has strong experience within construction, housebuilding, residential development or a similar built-environment sector.
You will ideally have:

Previous experience working as a Senior Document Controller or experienced Document Controller.
*
Strong knowledge of document control procedures and information management.
*
Experience working within a construction or property development environment.
*
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*
Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
*
Experience using an EDMS/CDE such as Viewpoint
*
A good understanding of drawing/document revisions, transmittals and document registers.
*
The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
*
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
*
A proactive approach with the confidence to identify and resolve issues independently
Salary description
£40000.00 - £50000.00 per year
