Location: Felixstowe
Salary: Up to £40,000, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm
We are looking for an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join a well-established logistics business in Felixstowe.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience who wants to develop their career within a supportive and professional working environment.
The role
Planning and coordinating container transport movements
Allocating work to drivers and subcontractors
Monitoring collections and deliveries to ensure they run on schedule
Communicating with customers, drivers and internal departments
Updating transport systems with accurate job information
Resolving delays and operational issues quickly and professionally
Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
Supporting the wider transport team during busy periods
What we are looking for
Previous experience in transport, logistics or freight forwarding would be beneficial
Knowledge of container transport or the Port of Felixstowe would be an advantage
Strong organisation and communication skills
The ability to manage changing priorities in a busy environment
A calm and practical approach to problem-solving
Good attention to detail and basic computer skills
A reliable and positive attitude
