Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Job Description We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham, specialising in the production of high-quality products for a range of specialist industries.
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across a range of industrial machinery, including furnaces, cranes and CNC machines.
* Read and interpret electrical drawings and carry out PLC fault finding.
* Monitor machinery performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements.
* Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain equipment safely and effectively.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications
* Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
* Confident reading electrical drawings – this is essential.
* PLC fault finding / ladder logic experience desirable.
* High Voltage experience desirable.
* ONC, HNC or City & Guilds qualification would be advantageous.
* Comfortable working in an industrial environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
* Heavy engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
