How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Working as part of a collaborative HR team, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality people service, managing complex employee relations matters, supporting organisational change initiatives and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

    We are partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation that delivers vital community-based services and support to vulnerable individuals. Due to an internal requirement, they are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join their People Team on a fixed-term basis.

    Description

    Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers across a range of employee relations matters
    Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, absence and probation cases
    Support long-term sickness absence management, Occupational Health referrals and workplace adjustments
    Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures
    Support recruitment activity and provide advice on employment matters
    Deliver training, coaching and guidance to managers
    Contribute to organisational change, consultation exercises and HR projects
    Analyse workforce data and produce HR reports to support decision-making
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an effective and professional HR serviceProfile

    CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
    Not-for-profit experience
    Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases independently
    Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
    Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
    Experience coaching and advising managers
    Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
