How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Build/Sub-Assembly Technician
    Hourly Rate: £30 - £35 (Umbrella)
    Sector: Formula 1
    Location: Silverstone
    Contract: 3 - 6 Months (Potential to go Perm)

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking an experienced Build/Sub-Assembly Technician to join a high-performance Formula 1 environment.

    The Build/Sub-Assembly Technician will be responsible for the precision assembly of vehicle sub-components, ensuring all work meets the stringent quality and engineering standards required within F1.

    You will work closely with assembly and engineering teams, following technical instructions, supporting quality control and contributing to continuous process improvements.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Precision assembly of mechanical sub-components to engineering specifications.
    Follow technical drawings, build instructions and quality procedures.
    Carry out quality inspections and identify any defects or issues.
    Record completed work accurately and maintain assembly documentation.
    Support engineering changes and process improvements.
    Assist with problem-solving relating to assembly processes and equipment.
    Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
    Support race preparation and changing operational requirements.
    What We're Looking For:
    Previous experience in a mechanical build, assembly or technician role within motorsport, automotive or a high-performance engineering environment.
    Strong understanding of mechanical systems and precision assembly.
    Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    Ability to interpret technical drawings and detailed build instructions.
    Confident using hand tools and assembly equipment.
    Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
