How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An excellent opportunity is available for a Property Litigation Solicitor to join an established and highly experienced litigation team in Hertfordshire.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience working within property litigation, although applications will also be considered from solicitors with less direct experience who can demonstrate a strong understanding of the area and the ability to quickly develop.

You will handle a high volume of contentious property matters, with the team's core workload centred around service charge and ground rent disputes, alongside wider landlord and tenant litigation. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be trusted with a substantial caseload and will need to be comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously.

    About the Team

You will become part of a litigation team of approximately 20+ staff, led by a Legal Director.

This is a genuinely high-volume litigation environment. Solicitors can manage caseloads of 100+ matters, so this opportunity is best suited to someone who is comfortable working at pace, managing competing deadlines and dealing with a significant volume of cases.

    About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

At least 1 year PQE, with 3+ years' property litigation experience highly desirable.
Strong experience across property litigation, ideally involving service charge, ground rent and landlord/tenant disputes.
The ability to manage a substantial caseload effectively.
    Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
Strong attention to detail and written advocacy skills.
Confidence dealing with clients and other stakeholders.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
A resilient, commercially minded and proactive approach. The role operates on a hybrid basis, with most of the team working approximately 2 days from home per week. During your first three months, there will be a greater expectation to work from the Hertford office to support integration and development, although there is flexibility for the right individual. Commuting from London is viable due to the offices close proximity to a local train station
