How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Group Sales & Marketing Director – Print Marketing ServicesUK  Hybrid WorkingUp to £110,000 Basic £40,000 Bonus Executive Benefits Strategic Commercial Leadership Opportunity

I'm delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and growing print and marketing services group to recruit a Group Sales & Marketing Director.

This is a leadership role for an experienced commercial strategist who understands how to drive new business growth, develop high-performing sales teams, and build long-term customer relationships.

This is not a cold-calling, new business hunter position. Instead, we're looking for a commercially astute leader who can shape strategy, lead from the front, and create a more structured, insight-led approach to sales and marketing across the group.

We are looking for someone with passion, drive and determination. You will possess a natural dignity, serious presence, and calm authority that commands respect without demanding it.

    The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of the group's commercial strategy and lead the Sales & Marketing function through its next phase of growth.

    Key responsibilities

The primary focus of the role will be to lead and deliver new business sales, utilising all functions of the sales team and the wider business.
Develop and deliver the group sales and marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with board priorities, growth ambitions, and margin expectations.
Lead the end-to-end commercial function across new business, strategic account development, marketing, pipeline governance, and bid activity.
Own sector prioritisation, proposition development, pricing strategy, and route-to-market planning for the group.
Build and maintain senior relationships with target prospects, strategic customers, and partners to support enterprise-level revenue growth.
Drive a more strategic, insight-led sales culture, including consultative selling, account-based marketing, disciplined opportunity management, and stronger commercial planning.
Establish clear performance measures, reporting disciplines, and management routines covering pipeline quality, forecasting, conversion, account growth, and campaign effectiveness.
Work in partnership with operational and senior leadership teams to ensure propositions, customer commitments, and service development plans are commercially sound and operationally deliverable.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, creating accountability, consistency, and collaboration across functions that have historically operated in silos.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

A proven track record of senior commercial leadership within the print, marketing services, direct mail, communications, packaging, or wider print solutions sector
Experience leading sales and marketing functions at a strategic level, leading sector-based go-to-market strategies, and integrating sales and marketing into a coordinated commercial model
A strong history of delivering profitable revenue growth and securing major strategic contracts
Board-level credibility with the ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally
Strong commercial acumen covering pricing, forecasting, margin management, negotiation, and strategic planning
Experience building and developing high-performing commercial teams
A data-led, analytical approach to decision making and performance management

If you're a senior commercial leader from the print industry who knows how to sell a full marketing solution and looking for a role where you can genuinely influence strategy, drive growth, and leave a lasting impact, I'd be delighted to speak with you.
