I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Technician to join an established engineering business in Milton Keynes.
This is a hands-on role working within a technical engineering and manufacturing environment, supporting the assembly, testing and development of specialist products.
The Role
Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly
Work from engineering drawings, build cards and assembly instructions
Complete mechanical and electrical testing and measurements
Support the development and improvement of build processes
Work closely with Manufacturing and Project Engineers
Assist with investigations and controlled strip-downs of equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Ensure tooling and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose
Support continuous improvement activities
Assist with training and mentoring other technicians
Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
Requirements
Relevant practical Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
5+ years' experience in an engineering workshop environment
Experience within Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport or a similar high-precision environment
Strong mechanical assembly experience
Good understanding of electrical systems and testing
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
