12 Week Temporary - Permanent opportunity
As an FLT / Production Operative, you will be responsible for a combination of forklift truck duties and general production activities. The role will be varied and hands-on, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently.
Moving raw materials, components and finished products around the site.
Loading and unloading materials as required.
Supporting the production team with day-to-day manufacturing activities.
Manual handling of materials and products.
Preparing materials for production and ensuring the production area is kept supplied.
Carrying out general production and warehouse duties.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
A valid FLT licence - Counterbalance experience preferred.
Previous experience operating an FLT in a workplace environment.
Good manual handling experience and an understanding of safe lifting practices.
The ability to carry out physically demanding duties when required.
A good understanding of workplace health & safety.
Good attention to detail and a reliable approach to work.What's on Offer?
