We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle operation in Grays, where you'll work as part of a skilled workshop team maintaining a varied fleet of heavy goods vehicles. As an HGV Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping vehicles safe, reliable and roadworthy. Your duties will include:
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and safety inspections
Using specialist diagnostic equipment to identify faults
Identifying and reporting any additional repair requirements
Completing job cards accurately and efficiently
Working closely with the Shift Supervisor to manage daily workloads
Supporting call-out and breakdown requirements when requiredWhat we're looking for
You'll ideally bring:
C&G or NVQ Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance or equivalent
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment
A good understanding of workshop health and safety
A full UK driving licence; HGV licence would be advantageousThe role operates Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required to support the wider workshop. Occasional Saturday work may also form part of the rota.
