How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Overview
    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate female children's residential team leader to oversee the care and support of an all-girls children's home in a residential setting. This role is pivotal in ensuring that each child's needs are met through effective care plans and a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience working with children, and the ability to drive initiatives that promote the well-being and development of young individuals.

    Responsibilities

    * Lead and manage a team of childcare staff, ensuring high standards of care and support for all children.

    * Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.

    * Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children to thrive.

    * Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure collaborative care.

    * Monitor the progress of children in the programme and adjust care strategies as necessary.

    * Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in childcare and behaviour management.

    * Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies regarding child welfare.

    * Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of life for children in residence.

    Experience

    * Proven experience in childcare or a related field is essential, with a strong understanding of child development principles.

    * Familiarity with creating and managing care plans tailored to individual children's needs.

    * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and their families.

    * Experience working directly with children in a residential or community setting is highly desirable.

    * IT proficiency to maintain records, communicate effectively, and manage documentation related to care plans.
