How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their People team and provide practical, commercially focused support across a wide range of employee relations matters. This is a busy role where you'll work closely with managers, helping them navigate complex people issues while ensuring a fair, consistent and legally compliant approach.

    What you'll be doing

    Managing a varied caseload of employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and capability cases.
    Providing coaching and guidance to managers, building their confidence in handling day-to-day people matters.
    Supporting the review and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with current employment legislation and best practice.
    Analysing ER trends and case data, identifying recurring issues and recommending improvements.
    Assisting with organisational change initiatives, including restructures, consultations and other change programmes.
    Working closely with stakeholders across the business to promote positive employee relations and minimise risk.What we're looking for

    Previous experience managing complex ER cases in a fast-paced environment.
    Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
    CIPD Level 5 qualified, or equivalent practical experience.
    Confident communicator with the ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with managers at all levels.
    A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance business needs and employee experience.
    Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work independently.
