How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Warehouse & bench repair responsibilities for an up-and-coming local company, Walsall based with a family feel but impressive big brand client base. They specialise in sales, service and distribution of electronics and technical products and act as customer service, warranty, returns and refurbishments for partner organisations. They are ambitious, growing and are a great employer for warehouse professionals.

    The Warehouse Operative job which is a varied and enjoyable job role where you will be responsible for spare parts ordering and inventory management, with both white-collar and blue-collar duties, plus the opportunity to cross-train to tool/equpment repair:
    Blue Collar: Loading/unloading palletised stock including some counterbalance FLT work and goods inwards duties, booking parts to the warehouse, and spare parts harvesting from customer returned products, storing parts in bins, stock control. Also Pick/Pack/Ship, includes printing pick list, picking electrical goods, securely packing products & shipping/dispatching according to required timeframes.
    White-collar: Parts coordinator role, liaising between bench technicians, suppliers and manufacturers, parts ordering and distribution using computerised stock control and job management. You will be coordinating with suppliers globally e.g. China to identify and order spare parts, allocate spare parts received to jobs and update the system.
    You will have
    * Counterbalance FLT license & experience in a warehouse environment.
    * Physically fit, able to do some heavy lifting and operate in a busy warehouse.
    * A good level of numeracy and literacy and IT skills.
    * Ability to use computerised stock control and job management.
    * Reliable, organised, self-motivated and have good attention to detail.
    * Smart and communicative and able to work directly with customers
    * Ideally technical skills & ability to cross-train to tool/equpment repair.
    You will get
    Initially National Living Wage of £12.71, which is ~£26.4K PA, plus incentives
