Pertemps are recruiting for a Recruitment Operations Assistant to join The Open University's People Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused administrator to gain experience in a busy recruitment environment, supporting candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
Working as part of a team, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless candidate experience from application through to onboarding. This role would suit an experienced administrator who thrives on organisation, enjoys helping people and isn't afraid to pick up the phone. The team are looking for someone who can confidently manage detailed processes, stay calm under pressure, and take ownership of tasks from start to finish.
Duties of a Recruitment Operations Assistant:
Acting as the first point of contact for candidates and hiring managers
Coordinating interviews and assessment activities
Carrying out candidate screening calls
Managing pre-employment checks and Right to Work documentation
Producing offer letters and supporting onboarding activities
Updating recruitment records and maintaining accurate data
Responding to candidate queries and requests for reasonable adjustments
Working across multiple systems and processes to ensure recruitment activities are completed accurately and on time
Requirements for a Recruitment Operations Assistant:
We are looking for someone who is an experienced customer-focused Administrator, who is highly organised and proactive. You will need to be a confident communicator and provide an excellent service to new starters during the whole onboarding process.
Essential:
Previous administration and customer service experience
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confidence speaking with candidates and stakeholders over the phone
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously following processes.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good IT skills, including Outlook, Teams and Microsoft Office
A proactive approach and willingness to learn new systems and processesDesirable
Recruitment administration experience
Recruitment onboarding experience
SAP SuccessFactors experience
