How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 4.30pm (Part-Time Hours also considered)

    This role offers a blend of new business development, account management and customer retention, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building lasting customer relationships while actively pursuing new opportunities.

    The OpportunityAs a Business Development Executive, you'll play a key role in supporting regional growth by identifying and qualifying new prospects, nurturing customer relationships, and helping maximise revenue across an established customer base.

    Working closely with Regional Account Managers, you'll generate new opportunities, manage customer accounts, follow up on quotations, and ensure customers remain engaged and supported throughout their journey.

    This is a fast-paced, commercially focused role where persistence, organisation and relationship-building skills will be highly valued.

    Key Responsibilities
    Proactively identify and engage prospective customers through outbound calls
    Qualify leads and book appointments for Regional Account Managers
    Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with clear next actions
    Manage and develop designated customer accounts to increase spend and customer loyalty
    Follow up quotations and identify upselling opportunities
    Re-engage dormant or lapsing accounts and implement retention activities
    Support regional sales growth initiatives
    Monitor competitor activity and market trends
    Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reports
    Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer serviceAbout YouWe're interested in speaking with candidates who have:

    Previous experience in a business development, sales, telesales, account management or customer development role
    Confidence making outbound calls and engaging new customers
    A resilient and determined approach, with the ability to handle objections positively
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    Strong organisational and time-management abilities
    A commercial mindset and desire to achieve targets
