Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout the London Borough of Islington from September.
Whether you're looking to work one or two days a week alongside other commitments, or you're available five days a week and want regular supply work, we have flexible opportunities to suit your availability.
The Role
As a Day-to-Day Supply Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons using pre-planned resources.
Cover classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, from Nursery through to Year 6.
Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
Follow school policies and procedures.
Support pupils with their learning and development.
Adapt quickly to different schools, classes and classroom environments.
Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
Most day-to-day supply bookings involve pre-planned lessons, meaning there is generally minimal planning and marking required.
We Are Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Recent experience teaching within UK primary schools.
Confidence teaching across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A flexible, reliable and adaptable approach.
The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
ECTs are welcome to apply, as well as experienced teachers and those returning to teaching.
