Location: Ossett, West Yorkshire
Salary: £47,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday – 6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm, alternating
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically and mechanically skilled engineer looking to join a well-established manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery and site equipment.
* Respond efficiently to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
* Carry out electrical fault finding, testing and repairs safely and effectively.
* Maintain and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings and associated equipment.
* Work on electrical systems including control panels, sensors, contactors, relays and three-phase systems.
* Support the installation, modification and commissioning of machinery.
* Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to equipment reliability.
* Record PPMs, breakdowns, work orders, parts usage and completed maintenance accurately using the CMMS system.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
Skills & Experience Required
* Recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent.
* Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
* Good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.
Desirable Experience
Any of the following would be advantageous:
* Previous experience within the textile industry or textile manufacturing machinery.
* Experience using a CMMS for PPMs, breakdowns and maintenance records.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* PLC and basic controls fault finding.
* Experience with inverters/VSDs, sensors and control systems.
* Pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance.
* Welding and fabrication skills
