Accounts Assistant – Temporary

We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established metal manufacturing company in Ellesmere Port.
This temporary position will provide long-term sickness cover within a busy finance team. It is ideal for someone with strong accounts experience who can quickly adapt to a new working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing purchase invoices, credit notes and supplier payments
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
* Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Assisting with bank reconciliations and general ledger tasks
* Responding to finance queries
* Providing general administrative support to the accounts team
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or in a similar role
* Good knowledge of core accounting processes
* Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
* Previous temporary or contract experience is preferred
* Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
* An organised, dependable approach and the ability to adapt quickly
