How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Architectural Technician

    A regional housebuilder is looking for an Architectural Technician to join its Lancashire-based regional office.

    Architectural Technician role

    Reporting to the Design Manager you will support the Design team with the execution of housing developments across the region providing accurate architectural and technical information.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Produce, amend and update AutoCAD and REVIT house type working drawings and all associated drawings, details and documents.
    Checking external Consultants' and Designers' drawings, documents and reports.
    Preparation and collation of Building Regulations / NHBC / Premier Guarantee / ICW Applications.
    Clearance of Building Regulations and Warranty Provider conditions.
    Preparation and collation of Planning Applications, including applications for discharge of details reserved by planning conditions, NMA and s73 applications.
    Amend AutoCAD Planning Layouts and all associated drawings.
    Appointment of and liaison with external Consultants.
    Liaison with necessary Council Officers, Statutory Authorities and representatives from Warranty Providers and Building Control bodies.
    Liaison with Solicitors, preparation of legal drawings and documents, collation of legal site setup information. Liaison with contractors and sub-contractors.
    Compilation of tender packages. Assist in production of and checking of sales & marketing material.
    Manage budgets and payments. Site visits and liaison with on-site Construction and Sales team where necessary.

    Skills & experience required

    Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Construction or Architectural Technology.
    Experience using Revit and AutoCAD, with housing sector experience desirable.
    Knowledge of Building Regulations and current NHBC standards.
    Strong communication, organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
