Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Specialist to support the day-to-day operations within the Paragon Print Hub, delivering outsourced print services to a diverse customer base. This role is critical to ensuring production excellence and SLA compliance across multiple shifts. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving service performance and operational efficiency within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Working Hours:
08:00 AM – 4 PM, Monday – Friday (30 minutes lunch)
37.5 hours per week

Position Reports to: Print Hub Service Manager
Length of Contract: Permanent
Salary: £30,000
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide operational support to the Production Manager in all services within the print room.
* Ensure relevant service levels are met.
* Adhere to quality control procedures to maintain a high level of quality for clients.
* Set up and operate digital colour/mono print production devices proficiently, including small format and large format devices.
* Operate finishing equipment to a high standard (booklet finishing, folding, mounting, laminating, binding, trimming).
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on devices.
* Implement stock control procedures set by the Production Manager.
* Support colleagues and work as a team to achieve the best results for clients.
* Manage workflow tickets via the workflow platform from submission to delivery to the customer.
* Provide quotes and answer customer queries.
* Track own activities and report daily to the Production Manager.
* Wear the correct PPE as required.
* Comply with health and safety site operational procedures.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Excellent customer service, organisational, and communication skills.
* Proactive approach to work and an eye for detail.
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF.
* Experience working under pressure and meeting tight customer deadlines.
* Strong experience in pre-flighting files and using imposition software such as Fiery or similar.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to learn new software and processes quickly.
* High level of attention to detail and commitment to service quality.
* Flexible and responsive to changing customer or production requirements.
* Experience working with equipment like Xerox Iridesse, Large Format Printer, Plotter, Digifold, and Morgana Booklet Maker.
Desirable:
* Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
* Familiarity with workflow processes.
* Familiarity with ISO standards or quality control frameworks.
* Experience with pull-up banner mechanisms.
