The Role As a Commercial Electrician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a range of commercial sites.
The role will be predominantly focused on keeping electrical systems safe, operational and compliant, responding to faults and carrying out repairs where required. You’ll also complete smaller electrical works and component replacements, rather than large-scale installation projects.
This is a hands-on role within a long-standing business with over 150 staff, with a strong support network around you. You’ll have a dedicated helpdesk and call-out manager handling initial calls, allowing you to focus on diagnosing and resolving issues on site.

Location/travel: Generally jobs within 30 minutes of home. Travel paid at normal rate when over 30 miles each way. Overtime or travel can be paid or taken as TOIL.
Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm, with flexibility where sites are further away.

Carry out reactive electrical maintenance and fault finding across commercial sites.
Diagnose electrical faults and identify the cause of issues.
Complete electrical repairs and restore systems safely and efficiently.
Carry out planned and preventative electrical maintenance where required.
Complete smaller electrical works and component replacements.
Safely carry out isolations and work on electrical systems in line with the required procedures.
Access and work within LV switch rooms and electrical panels where required.
Respond to call-outs and attend sites to investigate and resolve electrical issues.
Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and to the required standards.
Complete relevant paperwork and report any further works or issues identified on site.
