How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Stable, profitable business with around £20M annual turnover.
The Role As a Commercial Electrician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a range of commercial sites.

24 days holiday, with the option to buy additional leave after 12 months.
Strong support network including dedicated helpdesk and call-out manager to handle initial calls.
Comprehensive induction with a buddy system for your first few months.
Family events, Christmas parties, wellbeing support and an excellent employee referral scheme.
Location/travel: Generally jobs within 30 minutes of home. Travel paid at normal rate when over 30 miles each way. Overtime or travel can be paid or taken as TOIL.
Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm, with flexibility where sites are further away.
Plus more! Key Commercial Electrician Responsibilities

Complete electrical repairs and restore systems safely and efficiently.

Safely carry out isolations and work on electrical systems in line with the required procedures.
Access and work within LV switch rooms and electrical panels where required.
Respond to call-outs and attend sites to investigate and resolve electrical issues.
Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and to the required standards.
Complete relevant paperwork and report any further works or issues identified on site.
If you’re an experienced Commercial Electrician looking for a role focused on maintenance, fault finding and repairs, we’d love to hear from you.
Look forward to receiving your application!
