The Role
As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home provides outstanding care, safeguarding and support for the children who live there.
You'll be a visible leader, role model and mentor, helping to create a positive culture where both children and colleagues can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the day-to-day running of the home
Leading shifts and managing operational priorities
Coaching, mentoring and developing staff
Ensuring safeguarding remains at the heart of everything we do
Supporting Ofsted readiness and regulatory compliance
Completing audits and quality assurance activities
Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people
Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
Participating in the management on-call rotaWhat We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
✔ Experience within Children's Residential Care
✔ Experience supervising or leading teams
✔ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
✔ Strong safeguarding knowledge
✔ A passion for improving outcomes for children
✔ Excellent communication and leadership skills
✔ Full UK Driving Licence
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
Previous Deputy Manager experience
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it)
Experience supporting Ofsted inspections
Experience driving service improvements and quality standardsThe Person
